Hi all - I'm struggling to add two fields to an advanced PDF Purchase order document - the UPC of each line item (upccode) and the ASIN (a custom form field against the item) - it seems like not all item fields are available in the template (and even at that, the item fields that ARE available against the item are grayed out) - any ideas? I'm going to try creating off of a saved search next but thought there just may be something simple in the standard templates that I'm missing.

You need to create a custom transaction column field to source in the item field and make it available to the template

@michoel thanks! I've managed to create the custom transaction column field (and it's working as expected as a lookup to the item field) - how do I make it available to the template? I selected the checkboxes in the custom field creation that I thought would make it available but it looks like that's not where it's set.

Ok, I've done that and it's visible on the form it's in - hopefully this is my last question (I appreciate you assisting, I am fairly new to administrating NetSuite so I appreciate your patience). When I attempt to add the field in question, all of my "item" type fields are grayed out, which is interesting as there are other custom fields on that list that do exactly as you explained to me to do that are also grayed out. Are there certain field types that have to be done in source code and just aren't available in the WYSIWYG?

To be honest I don't touch the WYSIWYG with a ten foot pole. I'm not really sure why it would be grayed out, hopefully someone else can help with that
