Ah my screenshot could have been better, the example is from middle of the table. The sides design is a bit different. I'll include a better screenshot.

I understand now what causes that, if there is an open side then it causes the corners to round a bit, trying to find out why it is so

Oh - it looks to me like you are adding borders on both cells instead of adding just one - why not just add a right border on the left cell and no left border on your left cells?

Your thicknesses are inconsistent because you are effectively "double" bordering some of your cells

Thanks for your help but sadly the issue didn't get solved by having only single borders. The "bend" is now only 1px in size and is so unnoticeable that I'll let it slide for now. Thank you for your time.
