potentially, if you're not pulling too much data form each line (by too much I mean that it would be a pain to do), gather up the info in a UE script and dump it in a custom field as JSON and use that as your reference point instead of the lines or in conjunction with the lines. Hard to say without knowing the exact requirement but may be worth thinking about.
