I keep trying to call a restlet from a suitelet, but getting 1) has to be a fully qualified url and 2) 401. Is there a way to call a restlet from a suitelet without using the externalUrl?

I think its called, requestRestlet() api call - under N/https module, this was recently introduced in SuiteScript 2. But yeah agree, with fkrauthan - post question to the correct channel you’ll get more chance of quick reply.
