Are there NS developer who use SDF as a main dev tool without needing to do anything from the front-end? I mean if you gonna deploy a script for example, and you gonna associate it with a certain record, do you memorize the xml tags for doing that? or you do that from the front-end, but do the uploading for example using SDF?

I just copy paste it from the other script.xml and modify the values as needed.

I always download the version from a sandbox as a starter - who knows when/if that XML has changed and may differ on that particular account. Your mileage may vary if you only work with one netsuite account.
