Just getting started with WebStorm + SDF. I’d like to be able to see the actual definition of my Saved Searches but this doesn’t seem possible? Ideally I would like to be able to search to see where certain field ids might be used by saved search formulae. Is this an option?
w
No, searches are not readable in sdf-form
s
for 'security' reasons

bleagh
good thing I wrote my own search searcher
somewhat unrelated but it’s annoying that WebStorm’s “search everything” feature doesn’t search everything. It doesn’t even search in javascript files?
w
"Search everything"? What sorcery is that? "Find in files"?
s
SHIFT-SHIFT

except it doesn’t work

maybe you're not pressing SHIFT hard enough?
to be honest, I only use that 'search everything' once in a while. Usually I know the shortcut for a more narrow search for what I'm looking for
for example, 'find in files' is CTRL+SHIFT+F on my system
so I just press that
more arcane but often even more useful is CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+N
keyboard gymnastics

is it for "security" or something more related to intellectual property? It seems indeed not readable in SDF form, but I do not fully get why is like that
just curious

I think there is concern that a search may contain private info in filters or something.
r
Ah, I guess that kind of makes sense
