Has anyone ever created a SuiteApp Zip file (not using Eclipse)? If so, what's the details?

I've never done it, but I think I recall one of the NS devtools team members saying a regular zip file should work. Nothing special as long as the project file structure and files such as deploy.xml + manifest.xml exist.
