Does anyone else get an error when trying to upload/download files from the Web Site Hosting Files directory through the SuiteCloud plugin?
a
What kind of error?

It says Access Denied. But the Role has the
Website (External)
permission set to
Full
a
Which suitecloud version do you have?
m
2020.1
a
And are you clicking on website hosting files - > import? Can you try that on other file cabinet folders?

a
Thanks. I will check it out.
m
thanks alot
Hey there @Ali Syed (NS DevTools QA). Any luck on this?
a
@Miquel Brazil it works for me, are you sure . your user access is not restricted for that specific folder?
m
yep. checked and double checked.
and I can add files without issue through the brower File Cabinet
just not with the SDF
So actually. Wow. saying that aloud made me go take a look at something
For some reason the
Web Site Hosting Files
directory isn’t visible under the role we use to connect through SDF.
But I can verify the Cloverfield Developer role has the Website (External) publisher permission.
a
The restriction is on the folder. If the role you are using with SDF doesnt include the website folder, you will get the error. The error is for restricted access.
can you try to add website folder in the list and try again ?
m
not sure I understand “add website folder”
Like try to create the folder with the same name
a
If you login with the same user you are using with SDF, and you can't see that particular folder, you will not be able to use SDF to do opertaions on that folder.
m
so is the Web Site directory specific for each user/role?
a
The folders in Filecabinet can be restricted for a specific user by Admin. Talk to the Admin that you need access for that Folder.
m
I am the admin
a
so if you login as an Admin, you see that Folder?
m
yep
a
Lets have a quick zoom?
probably would be easy to see whats going on
m
I don’t have any restrictions set on it.
and yea I can do a zoom
a
HelpDoc check this doc if it solves this problem for you.
If it doesn't then we can have a call
m
Yes. I checked that pretty early on as well.
a
And this folder has some files in it or its the first time you are going to use it?
This is not are of my expertise, i will try to check the permissions for this.
m
it was the first time we were going to use it
there are some directories in it but they were there when we first looked

a
ok lets do 1 thing, try to upload something in those folders as admin user.
m
through SDF?
a
Through SDF or via UI. your choice.
lets try through SDF
i will start zoom.
m
that’s through the UI
Getting tokens for the Admin account. One sec.
a
If this doesnt work, i will recommend you to contact support or your account manager. This doesnt seem like a problem with tool. If you don't see this folder in UI for that user, SDF will not be able to access it.
m
So under the Admin account the
Web Site Hosting Files
directory appears in the SDF Get Files function, but only the directory I added from the UI.
I will experiment some more now that I’m seeing more situations of when it does and doesn’t work.
Thanks for at least pointing me in a direction to try out.
One disocvery is that I don’t see the “Host HTML Files” options in the “Web Presence > Publishing” field group.
