and everyone that worked with Scala that I know says its a fun language but as soon as a project is a bit bigger Scala becomes very fast very unreadable

for me, TypeScript is my poor-man's Scala. 🙂 It gives some type sanity to JS and can run everywhere

Did you check out Kotlin? If not I would still recommend to give it at least a try. Its pretty cool and for early this year they plan to release some really cool improvements 🙂

I've looked closely at Kotlin, and have done professional Scala development in the past. I guess I'm not seeing a need for Kotlin, and I don't like that it's a language controlled by JetBrains, as much as I love IDEA 🙂
