@ec Thats how suiteapp works. If you deploy a suiteapp, and later modify 1 object/file, You will have to deploy the whole project. If you remove other files/objects apart from the object where you want to make the change from your local project and deploy that project, it will remove all the files from the NS/filecabinet you have deleted from your local project.

@Ali Syed (NS DevTools QA) the documentation does say that files don't get deleted (page I linked before), does that need to be updated?
a
Can you please resend the link, i cant find the previous one you sent.

I see this on the document link you sent..
But yeah this part is confusing, i will notify this to the relevant team and will update you. Probably we will need to update this documentation. Thanks for bringing this up.

Not only that, @Ali Syed (NS DevTools QA) files were actually deleted! I noticed because scripts stopped working. Scripts that were deployed had missing file names, it was extremely awkward. I actually uploaded the files manually (bec I was scared of using SDF at the time) and manually selected the files on the Script record page. It was quite the abnormal experience…

@ec The files which you removed from your local project before deploying suiteapp should be deleted in NS also. The system will take this as the files removed are not part of your project anymore. The document needs to be updated, we are working on that. As far as missing file names in deployed files. That is weird. We need more context to investigate that

SuiteApp has created a bit of a mess for us due to this behavior… What is the upcoming requirement for BFN, @Ali Syed (NS DevTools QA)? We notice the checklist for publishing includes a few steps. Is this going to restrict apps from being listed on SuiteApp.com or even the SuiteApp listing in NS?

@Carlos Olivares (NS DevTools PM) any insights here?

We are not familiar with all details of the BFN program. Please ping SDN for further clarifications
