<@UFUCXSXCJ> I am not sure about other companies, but here we are required to update our software at least once each month, or use self-updating software with updates turned on, to make sure we have the latest security updates.  By default, WebStorm is set up to continually update itself.

Got it. Excellent point. will make a note of it.

I'd add to that that webstorm is specifically a rapidly moving (improving) platform so I always update to the latest. Over a few years of doing that I've not regretted it.

i.e. many of the updates to webstorm are bugfixes and imho stability increases with successive releases of the product.
