is it standard behavior for saved searches to be deployed as private by SDF? I am deploying between sandboxes where the source account search is set to Public, but always shows up without this checked in the target account. Thanks
b
I believe that is the standard behavior when moving searches between environments. that it is switched to private and changes ownership, can anyone else confirm this?
d
@bputnam correct, that is what I am seeing with SDF at least. I am able to see them since I am the owner via the deployment, but no one else can since they are not Public
I've tried explicitly setting the Audience roles etc., but does not seem to make a difference
b
good to know @dbarnett thank you for confirming and sharing your experience with force setting it

I have seen this behavior as well, its super annoying. Apparently saved searches are on the SDF road map to be revamped! Here's hoping that it will be fixed with the revamp.

@Albert Margarit (NS Eng Lead) could you comment on if this Private search behavior is the case? It has been quite a setback in our SDF product deployment flow lately. Thanks!

I don't have any info about this. I think the behavior you guys are describing is the expected one at the moment. As Tim said, Saved Searches will be revamped so I expect this problem to go away with the new design
