Anyone had the issue where when deploy custom objects in SDF it puts your script deployment to the top of the list in scripted records?

Let me check @karlenigma , I haven´t seen this
k
Thanks. It’s slighty annoying. I can fix the scripteds records and put the deployments back in the order i want but then redeploy and its puts it back to the top again!

Hello!
So is the use case that you have some scripts deployed to a record in an account (let's say a User Events) and then when you deploy (or re-deploy) one of them using SDF, that particular one gets on the top of the list of script deployments and therefore the first one to run in the record lifecycle?
Sorry I'm if completely misunderstanding
I don't understand what you mean by "puts your script deployment to the top of the list in scripted records" and what are the implications of that
k
Yep that is correct!
a
Ok!
k
I am adding a field by script in my UE to a tab that is created by another script.
a
And that's happening with User Events?
k
yep
a
I see, I assume in beforeLoad then?
k
yep
a
I see
this sounds like an issue in the SDF engine when processing and deploying the content of the project
@Mark Bollar @Pamela Luis can you chime in?
k
I’m just concerned that if i deploy this into production it’s going to do the same thing and then it breaks the transaction that it’s on.
a
Probably it will 😞
k
😭 Back to doing it manually for now then!!
a
You can do a quick test
k
I can just would need to comment out what i am doing in my script.
Do you want me to raise a support case about it?
a
yes please 🙏
k
🤣
Time ran out will have to do both things on Monday now.
@Albert Margarit (NS Eng Lead) I have since tested this in production. When i create the deployments it places it at the bottom of the scripted record list. But when i then deploy again it states update object and then puts it to the top of the list. I will raise a support case about this now. I have just removed the files from my project for now after creating.
a
Ok, thanks for spotting this!
I sent a note to the sdf team but they will for sure appreciate a case with repro steps

Thanks Karl!
