I'd still claim thats a bad idea.. it teaches people to use (or at least allows them to rely on) the file cabinet as source control which isn't wise

Kind of 🙂 I agree that teaching people to use file cabinet as source control is a bad idea. However, not all projects are started from scratch so you need that capability to get started playing with IDE and potentially SDF

Right, just looking at functionality. Not using the file cabinet as source control.
