@nzaleski - you can also remove the field from the XML and SDF will not touch the field at all when updating the record. Also, in 2018.2 you’ll see a new parameter in the SDK as well as the IDE to choose if you want to see a Warning instead of an Error when the framework encounters an ACCOUNT_SPECIFIC_VALUE tag during validation, and then ignore the field during deployment. This was a small change we did to give the user the option to block the deployment or not. In the next releases we will be looking at providing the capability to extract and set account specific values with SDF.
