Hi, Has someone seen a process when a Sales Order is connected to a charge based project and the billing is done from the SO?

@PaulJ I don't understand on what basis the SO amount will change. Do you know of a suite answers or video that show the setup?

The SO amount shouldn’t change. It’s established based on the forecast charges that are generated from your charge rules. After creating your charge rules you create your sales order and line items will populate based on the forecast charges.
Then when you bill your sales order the lines are populated based on the ACTUAL charges.
No one suiteanswers article or video I can think of off the top of my head but I hope that helps!

Or can we only use SOs for projects with a fixed value (or fixed date/ price rules)?

Not sure I understand the question. ANY project can be billed via sales order regardless of billing method. Charge based projects can be billed via sales order using ANY of the charge types.

But to connect the project to the sales order you need to properly configure your charge rules (fixed date or time based)

And if it’s time based you just ensure you are creating planned time entries (project preferences)
