How do you prevent a project resource from tracking time on one task but allow them to track time on another (same project). In other words, if a project resource is working several tasks of a project, is there a way to prevent them from tracking time on a particular task? In other words, if a project resource is working task a, b and c, how can we prevent them from tracking time on task a? Task a, b and c are on one project.

It might be possible to publish two different form views; Form View #1 = Allow Time Tracking Form View #2 = Does Not Allow Time Tracking This solution would require you to set the form views when creating the task, but I believe it would work?

Thanks for weighing in. There's no way of individually capping the hours a project task assignee can track, other than removing them from the task, which messes up some of reporting. I kind of wish there was a check box on the assignee sublist that said "suspend timetracking".
