Does anyone have departments required AND projects enabled? We use multiple revenue rule types and each has a department field, but in revenue field mapping we can only map to one

May I ask why you need different department base rev rec mapping? Perhaps, it can be accomplished via different functionality.

I don’t need it, ideally the project would determine the department on the revenue arrangement rather than the revenue rule. However this isn’t an option (that I can tell). We have departments required globally.

if your project is determined by department your rev rec will pick up the dept in question on sales order; you do not really need to set up dept in rev rec mapping

yea I think this is the problem for us, because we are not creating projects from sales orders. we will be in the future so we need an interim solution

you can create sales orders from projects - have you explored this option?
