Thoughts on supply allocation? Any gotchas? Thanks!

I thought supply allocation was actually pretty decent. There were a few things that didn’t work for us but they may not apply to your use case 1. You need to enable Advanced BOMs which we haven’t done yet 2. It only gave exception messages for sales orders not work orders (had to build custom reporting for this) 3. Does not include queue times (if you need to ship on 7/20 supply planning thought you were fine if the receipt date was 7/20 no buffer time for picking) 4. Planning only reflected 1 transaction level (if a part is late for a subassembly work order it only reflected that work order and not the next level finished good work order or Sales order above that) 5. It would probably help to come up with some way to easily set the Supply Required by Date on SO lines by suitescript. It was very cumbersome to set those dates on every line of SOs to start the planning process (we have large SOs of 150+ lines) Again these may not apply to you so it might be a better fit
