How do you ship a kit item that ships in multiple boxes? We want visibility of all the boxes tracking numbers ...

Really depends on how you are doing shipping - but you should be able to add additional packages to the 1 fulfillment I would expect

Are you use integrated shipping labels?

if you are using Netsuite shipping integration RF-SMART has a pack station that tracks contents of each box and supports kit packing into separate boxes, also supports scale integration as well.

We need to know what is in each box and each tracking number that is associated with it. We will not be using the integrated shipping labels as this will be a 3PL shipping for us and pushing data into our NS

Then the first question is what data you are sending to 3pl and what are they sending back

Sending the SO with items and customers information to the 3PL then they are sending back items fulfilled with serial numbers shipped and tracking numbers of each package

So they are sending you back what is in each package and tracking ?

So would a Custom Record tied to your SO work?

Yes they will be sending that information back to us so like Kevin said a custom field may work for this and we just have it point to the custom field for each package...Still trying to figure out the item fulfillment trigger

who decides when an SO is fulfilled you our the 3pl?

The 3pl will decide when the SO is fulfilled..

We did this ourselves, just manually creating the 3 (or whatever) packages in the picked state, as we moved to packed. You can enter the package & tracking number. We determined what was in each box by weight & used a reference field to populate.
