hi, I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to restrict inventory items to a specific vendor on a PO. For instance we have: ā€¢ Item A = preferred vendor is vendor 1 ā€¢ Item B = preferred vendor is vendor 2 If I place a PO for vendor 1, I want to see only this vendor's 'catalog' of items A, and would not be able to select item B. The transaction form has an item saved search that filters which items are available to select, so I feel like I can do something with that but would love any tips. Thanks!

It's not a perfect solution for what you're looking for
But it's a way to kind of accomplish it.
You'd have the users fill out your custom field - and then push the value into the real item field.
I swear there's an option in the SCM bundle to do something like this too, but I can't find it.

Something like "restrict list to vendors configured on item" or something. This is gonna bug me.

Interesting, I found this under Drop shipments and special orders, but not available for POs

There is on the "order items page" a checkbox for "incldue items with no preferred vendor" that can be removed.
That's what I was remembering.

It influences the order items page, but not the PO itself.
