[ADJUSTING PO QUANTITIES] Guys, what is the best practice here? Situation

We raise a PO for 20 units of a certain item.

Down the road, we learn that only 15 will be shipped by supplier.

We want to have NS understand that now only 15

Alternatives:

1. *Adjust down* the item quantity?

2. *Split the line in two* - one with 15 units and the other with 5, maintaining the first open and closing the second?

3. Somethings else?

Help?

I would say #2 we do utilize it now as we want to keep track of our original ordered qty on PO# to understand what went wrong.
