how i fix a bin with negative quantities - it wont let me do a bin transfer on it

1st - adjust up bin quantities to zero them out

2nd - turn off "use bins" on item temporarily

3rd - adjust down inventory quantities at the location (no need to enter bins) to make total qty correct (e.g. 0, or whatever is correct qty)

4th - turn back on "use bins" on the item record

if you have bins in your Bins sublist on the item record, you'll need to re-add those also

so the issue is we have items with multiple bins and 1 bin (which is the default receiving bin) has a negative quantity.

that's fine, you'd still follow the same process, i think

just adjust up the one bin to 0, and on the second adjustment, adjust the total loc quantity back down by however many you adjusted up

i don't think you'll lose your other bin qties when disabling use bins temporarily

but test it on a new item record if you're worried, or in SB

you should be able to make a test item though if you want to test the process
