Is anyone using the native demand planning feature in NS? Trying to set it up but wanted to get some insights on people currently using it.

Hi @Kmullervy, We tried using the native Demand planning that NS provided. I spent a good 10 months researching it all and getting everything ready to push it forward. in the end we weren't able to use it because we place our purchase orders to in transit warehouses instead of the main warehouse, and the native demand planning wont allow you to have a demand plans order to a separate warehouse. There were a couple work-a-rounds that we could do but they would end up messing with the accuracy of the demand plans over time. NS knows about this problem and have it classified as an enhancement with no planned fix date. So we put demand planning on hold for the time being. For that reason and because the third party Demand Planning programs that support netsuite cost quite the pretty penny. But if you don't order to a separate warehouse then you may be fine.

@David Spencer thanks for the insight! I am in a similar situation as you and have been trying to implement this for a while now and we have multiple locations and it seemed to not work the way we anticipated. I am currently trying to set one up now just for our main location to see how it runs but I feel like I keep getting that response about demand planning.

We used it for a little while. It is nice to use but the data input and outputs can be a little bit of work. If there are any specific questions I can attempt to answer.
