anyone know why our stock ledger report wouldnt tie to the physical inventory worksheet for only 1 ITEM/SKU?  Stock ledger says we have 6 but physical inventory worksheet and item record say we have 1 in inventory, all other skus match, trying to determine why just this 1 inventory item is off, we know the number is 1 after doing a count yesterday of all inventory for that location??

<@UF9FNKG1G> I have seen discrepancies in the physical worksheet and other reports due to modified item fulfillment dates (with Update Transaction Date Upon Fulfillment = T).  Not sure if you have this enabled...are you using Bins?

<@U4U6XE77T> not currently using bins.  The stock ledger is allegedly a calculated field but the calculation should be =1 not =6 if it is correctly subtracting ins and outs of inventory.  I think it must be a source field instead?

we have 20,795 total input quantity and 20794 total output quantity, but ending inv quantity is 6 for some reason

<@UF9FNKG1G> sorry for the delay, I got logged out of this slack group.  Not sure how the calculated Input and Output quantities are done, but it sounds like there may be an underlying issue with the transactions.  Sometimes different reports can use different date fields to determine quantities (sounds insane i know), so you may need to take a deeper dive and use the inventory activity report to trace quantity by date/transaction.

if you aren't as interested in the "why" and need to get it fixed I would recommend using a inventory adjustment worksheet to write off the difference and get the starting QOH for a certain date fresh, it sounds like you know the physical count so this might be an easier approach

so we literally just reset out QOH as of this 1/31 date we just physically counted.  We booked a big transfer order for this location

and of course it doesnt tie to the stock ledger, making me think that I truly need to dig into these date fields.  Which transaction would have the incorrect date field?  Wondering if it is at the inventory transfer level
