One reason was: we were doing inventory counting and we had a bunch of orders that we had pulled and were sitting on hold until all the items were available to ship, so we went in and fulfilled those orders with the items we had pulled, but instead of shipping them, we set the fulfillments to packed, because we planned on shipping them once all of the items came into stock. Sometimes it may take a few weeks to a couple of months and customers would call and cancel their orders. Not knowing any better, sales guys would just close the order, then we figured out we had all of these committed items in packed fulfillments in the system, even though we had physically put the inventory back into the bins.
