I'm contemplating turning off Bins for our inventory (long story....). Turning off seems to be a simple unchecking of a box, but the complexity of the historical transactions/records is my area of concern. The Bin detail on ~450k inventory transactions is completely useless to us, so I'm wondering if we can just "scrub off" (aka delete) the Bin detail immediately after turning Bins off. However, via CSV import some transaction record types are not available, such as Item Fulfillment, Bin Transfer, Bin Putaway, etc. The count of the unavailable record types seems to be ~300k. So, is there a way to script a mass update to remove Bin details from these 300k transactions ? Desired outcome is to simplify the records so that all inventory transactions only have a location and do not have Bin details. BTW, we use average costing and multi-location.
