Looking for best practice to account for any rework that occurs on a work order: Advanced Manufacturing is enabled and we clock against work orders via a tablet interface. If we have rework occurring for any reason (be it operator caused or supplier caused, etc) we want to record that rework and not absorb it into the standard operation. We can’t seem to find a good way of recording it so we can track our rework cost. Is creating a downtime code and reporting on the downtime reasons the only option (which would only allow time tracking, not cost tracking)

@Tanja Graman Hi we’ve tried using another assembly to do this. Unfortunately it’s hard to get an exact cost because the time logged does not effect the routing time we posted We have manually made work orders and added a non inv item called “rework labor”. The cost of the item is $1 so then whatever qty you put in becomes the labor $$ However this is all very manual The only other option I know is what you said by using downtime codes to at least get some data
