Good morning, on Work Order Completions - is it possible to have the GL impact's department post based on the Manufacturing Route vs. the item record?

I don't think so, a manufacturing route has no department. is it possible to use location instead?

In my perspective, if an item belongs to multible departments, the field should be unset. if it belongs to multible locations, that field should be unset. and if it belongs to multible subsidiaries, to should belong to the shared higher level subsidiary.

Each item has a department. They’re all the same. So each inventory item has “Department 1” for example
