Can anyone tell me if it's possible to automatically send emails to vendors for drop ship POs created automatically by the system from SOs? If so, what are the settings I need to enable. I've tried checking the box "to be emailed" on the vendor and that didn't work. I've checked the accounting preference to "automatically email drop ship pos" and that hasn't worked. I'm testing this in sandbox and the item i'm using is set up as drop ship. It has a preferred vendor. And the email is set on that vendor. It's not emailing the PO to the vendor email automatically. I have to imagine this is entirely possible and likely a common ask, so what am I missing? From sandbox it only sends emails to admins and logged in user. Two ways you can check this 1) check on the vendor records if you see the email in the communication tab 2) change the vendor email to your email and see if you get the email. To be emailed function should work.

hmm, I'm an admin user and the logged in user. and The sandbox email preferences are set to send to the logged in user. I did also change the vendor email to mine just to make sure. No dice on seeing emails come through or listed in the communication tab for the POs or the Vendor.
Okay, so I found the issue. The "to be emailed" doesn't have any bearing on sending emails for system created POs from drop ship items on SOs. However the "ALLOW DEFAULT EMAIL ON PURCHASE ORDERS USING SUITEFLOW APPROVAL ROUTING" does affect system generated emails for POs from drop ships. It was set to "do not allow", but any other setting will let the system send emails without issue. Will have to look into it further to see if we're okay with that global setting, but at least I know it can work.
