It turns out that's a SuiteTalk 101 problem. I really need to set up my web services forms and use them everywhere with the

customForm

attribute.

For all record types that support custom forms, if a form is specified in the web services request, that

form will be used for validation. Note that it is generally best practice to specify the custom form in all

web services update operations.
