Is there a way with a workflow (or any other way) to restrict the items a buyer sees depending on what they choose in a certain field. i.e. - if in PO type field they choose CAPEX - I would like to restrict the items that can chosen to just the CAPEX items (which can be determined by a custom filed already on the item record) - Is this doable?

Can you use separate forms and use an item filter on the form?

They would rather not use separate forms. Any way for me to use the item filter dependent on how they populate the PO type field?

From my experience you would need to use a separate form with an item filter then have the user select the custom form (I've renamed the custom form field to be PO Type before so it's like you are selecting the type even though it's the form field OR A script might be able to filter this for you A workflow can't do this
