Has anyone created an approval workflow where an email will be sent to the approver if the transaction is pending approval and if the recipient/approver replies "Approved" then the transaction is considered automatically approved even if the recipient/approver does not have access to NetSuite account? Basically, I'm thinking of using the Messages join and where a message/email contains the word "Approved" or something like that then the transaction is deemed as approved as well. This is on the assumption that scripting will not be required.

I have seen this previously - but I am pretty sure there was a fair amount of scripting. I think that maybe SquareWorks has an approval bundle that functions as you mention above as well.

why not just use suiteapprovals that has a link to approve without ns access?

☝️ Although unless they fixed this in Suite Approvals depending on the # of subsidiaries you are working with you would need to maintain approval rules by subsidiary.

Thanks everyone. Let me take a look again at SuiteApprovals if it's a potential solution. Others say it now requires NS login.
