We have a button on a Transaction Workflow that changes the value of a custom field. 99.99% of the time it works fine, but the other 0.01% when the button is clicked, the value does not change. I can literally SEE the value being changed in the Workflow log, but the value remains unchanged and there’s nothing in the System Notes to show it being changed back or anything. Has anyone else encountered anything similar?

Do you have your button displaying while in edit mode? I've had problems in the past with buttons/transitions while in edit mode

No, the buttons only show in View mode

In my experience pressing the button in edit mode results in it "looking" like it was changed, but then not being changed
