I'd probably use a saved search field with Listagg or NS Concat

Ended up using a hidden custom field populated with a saved search and then used a workflow action with CONCAT to populate the message + total. Won't list the items, but it will list the total number of kits. They want this pushed as a memo in the fulfillment queue. I hope this'll help them prioritize large orders.
