@shamwow19 I think there is a Workflow action called prompt or message that creates a small window where the user can enter information

there is a show message, but it dosent allow you to enter anything. Unless i am missing something

Yeah, it appears I was mistaken. You might need go the scripting route for this. A Suitelet to allow the user to put a message. The suitelet will also update the record with the entered message. And a custom workflow action to call the Suitelet
