Hi, I would suggest doing this with a saved search however if you want to do it with a workflow:

Create a new Workflow on type transaction, subtype sales order. Event definition: "On create" checked. Trigger on: After record submit. Then add a send email action in the state (after you save the workflow) and configure your outgoing email
