Has anyone worked with Revenue Elements? I am trying to get the rev elements which are created from a specific sales order. But the source filter is behaving differently than it should. It requires the internal ID of the revenue element instead of the sales order. But the source column is working correctly and showing SO internal ID as the source. Seems like a defect to me..

Yes, they are weird. I don't think it's a defect so much as a very strange design choice.
n
I am considering this as a defect based on how the fields work in other transactions.
But I also found that Revenue Arrangement/Element is a whole different world where NetSuite behavior differs 😄
Do you have any workaround for this @Catherine Fray?
c
@NickSuite what's the end purpose of the report?
n
need to get the related elements from SO to use in the script.
c
Ah, I haven't gotten into the dev side of it. I can confirm they behave strangely in saved search too, and have for 3+ years

Did you contact NetSuite support about it? @Catherine Fray
c
@NickSuite I spoke to the SuiteBilling product team (not via a support ticket) and confirmed that it was an architectural choice
If you submit a support ticket I would be interested to hear what you learn

I am now interested to know what kind of architectural choice it is. The system should be consistent.
