Hi all - forgot to pass this along when Support got back to me. I found a defect for updating the Inventory Detail record for a bin when quantity changes: 	Defect# 519816: Unable to Update Bin Quantity in Inventory Detail Subrecord

specifically, it was for a picking customization, say you pick 3 items, but want to "put 1 back". You cannot just update the quantity and the inventory detail quantity. You need to actually delete the entire Item Fulfillment, and create a new one with the updated quantity. Hope this helps someone pulling their hair out like I did!

If your item fulfillment contains more than one line you might be able to edit it, remove the line *(by unchecking the box for that line) and then add it back via a new item fulfillment. (I am not sure on editing it to add it back) Stops you from having to delete the record completely.
