Answering my own question, you can with the following notes/rules:
• You cannot use the Administrator role
• You cannot use the new Data Warehouse Integrator role which would give access to all data. This role requires Token Authentication which we can’t use in Excel.
• You cannot use a role that requires SSO login
• The role must have the SuiteAnalytics Connect permission.
• The role must have explicit permissions to the data that you’re trying to query. For example, my test role only has the Invoice and Sales Order transaction permissions. When I query the transaction table, I am automatically filtered to only CustInvc and SalesOrd transaction types.
** The “SuiteAnalytics Connect - Read All” permission does not work for the
NetSuite2.com data source. It is for the
NetSuite.com datasource only.
