Hi All! Our programmer has been trying to see about switching to the Netsuite2.com data source from the Netsuite.com data source. He is finding inconsistencies in the list of tables he can pull (when querying all tables) vs what is shown in the Records Catalog. The tables under the new data source do not seem to be clear either as there are a lot that do not have 1 to 1 matches and it's not clear where what new table holds the data he needs. Has anyone else run into this? If so, how did you remedy it? Also, has anyone been able to find anywhere a mapping between both datasets that would help with this? This is via ODBC

It sure would be nice, Not sure that map exists though.
Following just in case someone does have it somewhere... but not holding much hope

I haven’t found anything. I’m not impressed with the Netsuite2.com schema. I’m not sure how that’s the ā€œupgradedā€ version. It’s a mess and hard to understand the logic behind some of it.

Its on my list to look at a mapping table to see if we can automate the changes to some SQL scripts from netsuite.com to netsuite2.com. I've just finished the sync code using the new data warehouse integrator account, but damn NS haven't made it easy, the TBA implementation for the DWI is a joke. Re table count, 671 in netsuite.com and 1703 in netsuite2.com for the same client account.

Making a case for a 3rd party that uses web services over the ODBC connector at that point. Goodness.

It's poor as @eblackey said, no consistency in naming conventions, duplicate tables, columns in tables that are primary keys but have null entries everywhere. We sync saved search data for reporting mainly, the full table sync is essentially a full backup.

Have you seen Tactical Connect? Saved Search connecter that replaces ODBC. www.tacticalconnect.com

We've paid for ACS with NetSuite. I got them involved after Support advised they couldn't help and our consultant says that the dev team would be able to provide a mapping between the 2 data sources for an estimate of 2-4 hours (from our monthly allotment). I'm currently fighting this point with our account manager. Seems like something that is only 2-4 hours to do and so widely needed should be done on NetSuite's time. But perhaps I'm looking at it wrong šŸ¤”

2 hours? That is a gross understatement

I'm sure!
