has anyone used native Inventory turnover report? just curious because we have few items that says on hand for 3100 days or 1500 days, where does the system gets that value? we haven't even been live on NetSuite for 1 year
k
any transactions dated that old in the system that hit those items?
s
for one of the item the old transaction I see under related record is on 9/30/20.
one of the item has like 9000 days, that's like 12 years, i am positive there is nothing that is dated 2009 in our account
k
Couldn't tell you then - that seems like defect to me.
s
another question related to this Days Inventory On Hand {DAYS}/({COGS}/{INVENTORY})
where does this get the "Days" value? this formula is on the KPI scorecard
k
I don't know unfortunately.
I could spitball some guesses, but they'd probably be wrong.
s
sure no problem thanks, these numbers looks whacky, lets see what NS Support can do, we do have self service but i feel like this is a bug as you mentioned
k
I mean, the basic premise of "days inventory on hand" is "if I divide my 5000 cogs by 10000 inventory for the approprirate window (i.e. 30 days or 100 days) I can determine the actual days inventory on hand
so in this case - if my 5000 COGS compared to 10000 inventory over 30 days - then I have 60 days inventory.
s
yeah that make sense
k
if I have 50k cogs for a year compared to 10k inventory - then I'm at 20% of a year in days of inventory
(73 days?) (365*.2)
s
hmm that might require reverse math, i will try to solve for X assuming i don't know 9000
