Thanks Kevin. Having done some experimentation, I'm fast coming to the same conclusions. We're at 10m+ transactions and speed of searches is starting to become a concern. With no apparent way to remove aged data, I'm desperately looking for anything we can do to speed them up.

I've seen folks have this very same issue. Sometimes having a filter on Trandate that is the first filter will speed things up, but that doesn't help when you need results that span a wide date range.

There are services out there that can aggegate your GL data into JEs and post it in old periods- clearing up the number of results.
Of course - that requires reopening the periods and losing data....

Also - you might make sure you are on the correct NetSuite tier - I hear that is one of the things it will impact.

Definitely try playing around with your order of the criteria - it should be noted that this shouldn't impact performance that greatly, but since NS is giving us a presentation layer to writing PSQL in saved searches, they could be doing some things not in the most efficient pattern.
