is there an appropriate way to have multiple "ANYOF" criteria with same Filter name but on separate lines with OR operator in between? not sure if this is a bug or not or how ANYOF works behind the scenes, but if you have Item search on one line "Sub-Item of A" and on another line "Sub-Item of B", it only gets result for the B child Items

It looks like you need to check the "Use Expressions" box and apply parens so it looks for any of both subitems.

@druch I just tried wrapping in the parentheses, still only shows children for the second item parent for me; does it show for both in your account?

Unfortunately, the employer I work for now doesn't use parent items, however, I've had to do this in the past and it's worked fine. Is it an item search or are you using a transaction search?
