Just saw the new Event Subscriber script type in the August release notes! I tried deploying one in a 2026.2 account through SDF and got this error:

Platform Events are not enabled for this account.

Has anyone got this to work?

I wish they gave some more details on what happens on script failure due to errors or wider system issues. My assumption is that there is no retry mechanism on these scripts. It would still be useful but just limits what you can use it for.

how did you guys overcome the "platform events not available in account" error?

That's not completely solved yet ... I'm bouncing around departments in my Support Case right now.
