Has anyone ever used the addQuery method of N/render's TemplateRenderer? I can't get it to work

what does your code look like

like garbage at the moment lol. Even AI gave up and went the easier addCustomDataSource route instead. I'll take another crack at it later. It's more that I want the API to work. There are easy enough workarounds, but it should work!
