anyone know how to exclude journals created from a memorized transaction template in a workflow? Trying to exclude them from going through the approval workflow, but not seeing any indicator on the journal record that would allow me to filter them out.

Check the Created From field. I don't think it's visible on the JE itself, but I was thinking that an entry created from a Memorized entry will have that field populated, even if not visible.
