Is there a way to force a saved search to show all results, regardless of filters (so the empty results would show as null/blank)? Our sales manager wants a "last date of order/quote/call" search that will show our reps all of their clients, regardless if they've had a quote, call or sale before.
a
I think you want to search the Employee record, and use the joins to Transaction to get that... it should work
j
I don't see where you can do a join for customers, though. They need a full list of their customers for this search, regardless if they've interacted with us before or not.

Any chance the Last Sales Activity could help?
j
Hm. Maybe. Let me see if I can do something with that.

@J-Mack have a check on the image on this page: https://www.erpexperts.co.uk/apps/crm-quickview-for-netsuite/ and let me know if something like that would assist in you getting the info you require.
a
@J-Mack - in that case, you want to start a customer search, join with transactions (type: sales order) or Quote (is that a txn?) or Call (is that a txn type?). Then, I would use case statement in the results to show max on date on order, on Quote or on Call.

That's what we tried before. If I use LSA, it eliminates Leads. They want all three stages of customer. And yes, @ERP Experts, they basically want to keep tabs on the reps' activity to guide them towards accounts that have gone fallow or were never developed.

Cant you modify LSA to include those records?
a
Stage - Lead, Customer, Prospect - is just a filter... would using 'Any of' Lead / Customer / Prospect not include everything?
j
@Ankur Sanghi I tried that and got duplicate results.
@C_Billings I think it's because we don't have any of the LSA "tasks, phone calls, etc" ticked. I assume this is by design, as this was set up before I arrived.
e
@J-Mack LSA doesn't do what you want in enough detail...that's why we developed CRM QuickView.
j
@ERP Experts I will keep your service in mind. Thanks!
e
@J-Mack any time. I feel your pain though! 🙂
a
@J-Mack - NS search results are weird that way. Have you opened a ticket anyway? it is tiresome but the only way that I have tried to understand why something duplicates is by successively remove columns from results. Have you tried that also?
j
@Ankur Sanghi I believe they are tabling the search for now. My thinking is that we need to approach these metrics differently, but thank you for all of your suggestions.
