I'm glad you figured it out, but NetSuite says the most effective way is to login with a role that can view the saved search ( or record ), grab the URL, then login with the user/role that cannot see the saved search ( or record ) and paste in the URL and see what permissions error you get. It's not always effective, but it's helpful some of the time.
