Is anyone aware of a way to prevent closing of sales order lines if there is an open item fulfillment for that line? AFAIK it requires a script, just wanted to confirm.

You may also be able to do this via Workflow, but yes, I think a script would be the best way

By open item fulfillment do you mean IF in picked or packed status?
